About Dalpark Private College
Dalpark Private College is a Christian based school which owes its establishment to the continued excellence of Dalpark Private School which has over 30 years’ experience. 2019 was a ground breaking year as the College opened its doors to the initial Grade 8 group and has since grown in 2020 to accommodate two Grade 8 classes as well as a Grade 9 class. 2021 will see our first Grade 10 group.
The Board of Directors and Executive of Dalpark Private College have worked tirelessly in their effort to make sure that each learner’s overall educational, emotional, spiritual and lifelong needs are catered for. Once learners reach Grade 10 they will find themselves facing subject choices. Dalpark Private College has four compulsory subjects in English, Afrikaans, Mathematics or Mathematics Literature and Life Orientation. Elective Subjects include Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Business Studies, Accountancy, Visual Arts and History.
Dalpark Private College has chosen to allow our Matrics to write the IEB exams at the end of their Matric year. While this is still in the process of being finalised, the IEB exams give learners the freedom to enter South African Universities without having to go through an entrance exam. This is ‘final average’ determined and in addition to allowing learners access to our Universities, it also allows the freedom to travel abroad to study should the learner wish to do so.
At Dalpark Private College each learner is treated according to their own unique abilities which aids in creating the ‘complete’ learner when they leave at the end of Matric. Focus is placed primarily on crafting young adults whom have the ability to add value to South Africa in all facets of the workplace, home environment and spiritual setting.
Remote Learning has come to the forefront due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and Dalpark Private College is on the cutting edge in this regard. The College has the ability to teach each learner from both an on-site as well as an off-site setting, thus giving our learners and parents’ peace of mind during these times.
