Requirements for Candidates Wishing to Attend Dalpark Independent School

As an Independent learning institution, we reserve the right to accept or decline applicants. There are times we may have to decline due to space constraints, academic unsuitability, or affordability, as we are entirely reliant upon school fees for the good running of our institution. As a family-oriented institution, we may request an interview with you and your child. Once we have reviewed your application, we will send an email to let you know of acceptance. Do not purchase any uniforms or stationery until you have been informed of acceptance.

Documents Required for Enrolment Application

Applications will only be attended to once the following required documentation has been submitted:

  • Completed Application form/s.
  • Copy of the child’s Birth Certificate.
  • Copy of your child’s Immunization / Clinic Card
  • Copy of both parents’ Identity documents.
  • Final report from the previous school.
  • Transfer Card on or before the first day of the new school year.
  • Foreign learners need to be in the possession of a valid study permit, updated immigration documents, and a valid passport.

Once accepted, parents have 10 days to pay the R500 (that forms part of the registration fee) to secure a place. The remainder of the registration fee of R1500 and the first month’s school fee must be paid in full prior to the learner attending school.

Parent Contract

It is compulsory for all parents to complete a Parent Contract with the school prior to enrolment. This is a legally binding contract that is completed only once. Re-enrolment each year is reliant upon you completing the re-enrolment form and the school confirming space for the following year. The signed document must be returned to school after acceptance in order to finalize the application. Should the contract not be received, your child will not be permitted to attend class.

Learner Code of Conduct / Rules and Regulations

The Code of Conduct / Rules and Regulations will be issued to you on your child’s acceptance. This is for your information and must be kept by you. Please read all information; should you not understand, you are welcome to approach the office for assistance. The last page of the learner Code of Conduct must be signed and returned to school before attendance commences.
